Newly Added Features:
There has been addition of some differentiable features in the whole office suite. The most remarkable added feature is the collaborative functions that can be used in every product of the office suite whether word, PowerPoint or excel. Microsoft Office 2010 is available in various variants such as OEM, Starter, online, Personal, Home, etc. On the basis of these variants, various products are been distributed in the Suite. For instance in a starter pack you might only get Word, PowerPoint and Excel while in professional version all of the products are included.
Microsoft Office 2010 offers a slight change in the interface, specifically the addition of ribbon menu. Ribbon menu is the same which appears when you save any file from the menu. It is named after its visibility as it looks quite similar to that. This can be considered a testing design in the whole of Microsoft as you can actually see the same menu in the Windows 8 and the later versions of the OS.
Other additions were the algorithmic changes in the application that made certain operations effective and quite faster too. An innovation in the context was also noticed with the addition of the web sharing apps that could upload and synchronize the data from the servers. However, these products are only included in the professional version available to the companies and not to the individual. Besides this new text styles were added, specifically very useful for the designers, along with the addition of image editing effects, screen capturing tools etc.
