AutoCAD is an application developed for making CAD designs. CAD or Computer Aided Designing and Drafting has been in the existence since 1970’s with the development of the same product, at that time AutoCAD was named as Interact CAD; all due to the sharing companies which were the co-owners of the application. It has been almost 45 years since the first appearance of the application, and there have been around 28 editions of the application already launched, and AutoCAD 2015 is the 29th edition in the hierarchy. Talking about the features there have been addition of the new features in the application from time to time and so is the case with this latest edition.

Changes in Appearance:
Interface forms first and foremost part of any big application. A compelling interface will allow its users to have more time on the application that to a normal application, thus building a suitable interface plays a crucial role. Base colour is the first thing that designers need to study; on the basis of various studies it has been found that Black colour has the least distractive properties. Here in AutoCAD, Autodesk has incorporated the same idea which brings a bit compelling twist to the interface. The base colour of the application is now changed to Black with the background as a shade of black along with menus, title bar and status bar colour consisting of some other shades of black. However, if you do not part with the researches you can customize the whole interface and bring back the previous colour configuration back.
Console and Graphic Previews:
One of the important features of the application is the console. Here console is for the advanced users, beginners can also use it though as it is quite simple to use. This is more like designing the whole workspace using a programming language. If you are a programmer, you will love this part as it appears more or less similar to Netbeans and Dreamweaver. Language used here is a custom language which is quite similar to C and CPP and works on the OOPS protocols. This console has been in the application since years, although in AutoCAD 2015 is made way easier to use. An important feature called prediction is now added to the application which would help you to know the function and spell them correctly. Along with this, there also a new grammar correction tool quite similar to spell check in word. This will however correct the misspelled functions and not the text that you have written to symbolize your design.
Graphic preview are made more intuitive, with the addition of new conventions for displaying design. This is quite useful when making the blueprints as the text needs to be represented clearly. Moreover the application can use your accelerated graphics card to extract the most out of your device and improve the performance.
